Welcome

Hello to all.

Man City
...there's plenty to discuss. This is a new blog by ManTwitty, long time MCFC supporter, Abu Dhabi doo lover and regular visitor to the theatre of comedy!

It's not been the greatest
weekend for us City fanatics. Now how many times has that been said that over the years? Defeat at Spurs (match comments to follow) has ensured no Europa League next year. Will that affect MCFC's ability to attract top players over the summer? Or will mega-money talk? The Dirty Red's ongoing success adds to the woe, C'mon Barca! However as MCFC fans we must keep the faith. Exciting times are no doubt ahead. Glory is inevitable, we just need to remain patient and believe. We will soon have our days in the sun.

The next months will surely see many changes in terms of City personnel. ManTwitty is positive that City will be taking steps to bridge the chasm across to the big 4.....but how big will those steps be?

Over the close season, ManTwitty will be giving you opinion on MCFC developments, the rumours and the club's preparations for season 09/10.We hope to divulge top secret info from contacts close to MCFC - we'll see.

So, will Hughes remain? Is the Kaka deal really dead? What about Se
ñor Villa? Can we tempt the self proclaimed 'special one'? Are Dunney Monster's days numbered? Will anyone find Sturridge's dummy? Fasten your seat belts 'cos it's sure to be one hell of a ride!

Now to the Spuds game. The first half display was consistent with our general away form this year... dismal. City spend the majority of it defending and all too often give the ball away cheaply. Too many passangers, Elano paricularly outstanding at being poor. Given keeping (literally) us in the game with at least three fine stops. Ireland and Onouha the only shining lights in the outfield. Dunne's poor tracking of Defoe results in us going behind. What is Bridge doing? Kompany having a stinker. Petrov understandably off the pace. A half to delete from the MCFC memory banks. Hope however springs eternal… who remembers the 3-4 victory a few years ago at The Lane? 3-0 down at half time, one man sent off and still MCFC triumphs!

Second half much better from City, more thrust with '2-Grans' Ireland pulling the strings. 2 up front with Bojinov and the hopeless Benjani. Boj grabs the equaliser with panache and the game can go either way. Step forward the man in black. Special agent dim-wit! He awards our hosts a dubious penalty with minutes to go. 2-1. Still time for Benj to miss a sitter. Bye-bye backwaters of Europe.

Oh well, roll on next season!

Next week We'll be reporting on City's ultimate game of the season against Wanderers.
