Ok, let's get the City rumour ball rolling. There's sure to be plenty of names in the frame over the next months.

Sources tell ManTwitty that the owners, chief executive and manager have already agreed terms with 2 outstanding players and that announcements will soon be made. City are being very tight lipped as they do not want another newspaper frenzy a la Kaka. More news as we get drip-fed by our insider, who's being ever so stubborn at the moment.

Names in the frame are Forlan, Tevez, Villa, Barry, Eto'o, Augero, Santa Cruz, Raul and dare I say Kaka and Messi. Let us aim high boys and girls. ManTwitty's tips (if you like a bet) are Barry, Tevez and Eto'o. Slightly off the radar is Adebayor, but who knows?

City could certainly do with reinforcements in defence, names such as Johnson (right back), Hangerland (centre back) and Chiellini (centre back / left back) would add some height & steel.

We've also heard mention of cheeky bids for Toure (Yaya), Silva and Ibrahimovic.

Players likely to be leaving this summer include Benjani, Vassel and Sturridge. The later wants £65k a week. Let us see some performances, consistency and goals first Mr. Studge.

Good to hear the owners backing of Hughes. This should dowse the tabloid's fire concerning his position. He deserves another season to show what he can do. Top 6 next season is City's realistic aim.
