Elano's Turkish Delight

Elano Blumer, the trouble causing Brazilian motor-mouth has been despatched to Istanbul on the first available magic carpet. He has signed a 4-year deal to play for Turkish side Galatasaray, who are now managed by Dutch spitting enthusiast Frank Rikjaard.

Whilst he showed glimpses of skill and creativity during his time at City, these moments were all too brief. His work-rate was sub-standard, he lacked the physicality required for the Premiership and he was a disruptive influence in the dressing room and through the media. His departure has been on the cards for some time now. It's clear that Hughes demands a high level of endeavour and a team ethic, no matter what other attributes a player has. It was never going to work out and we shouldn't cry over his departure.

Meanwhile cheeky chappy Valeri Bojinov has been sent out on a season loan to Parma of Italy. Message to the Boj : good luck and take it easy on the ham, fine wine and cheese. Under no circumstances are you to come back wider than when you left!

I think your wrong twitty about Elano the so called sulk. Why should'nt he sulk when every time he came off the subs bench last season he played well. Seems to me you've been sucked in by the media on this matter. Who says hughes isnt in the wrong for not playing him more often. Who was our best player season 2007 - 2008? Why dose he play for Brazil but cant get in a poor city side ladt season. I PUT IT YOU TWITTY THE MANAGER IS TO BLAME FOR US LOSING A WORLD CLASS PLAYER!!!

Anon, if he was so good then where were the takers from the Prem? No one was interested, hence he's now gone to an average league. Where's his ambition? Where were Arsenal or Inter? BTW, Dunne was our player of the season 07/08. Elano had a good debut against West Ham and scored a good free kick against Newcastle. Not much else stood out.
