The event took place earlier today at the Olympic pool in Bejing, China. The new champion had never taken part competitively in the sport before. He has however been honing his diving skills for all of his professional football career with unrelenting intensive diving practice. He is now regarded by his diving contemporaries as diving perfection. Even at the tender age of 24, many already regard him as a legend in the field.
Former footballing cheat/simulating genius Jürgen Klinsmann was full of praise for the new champ, saying "his achievement is immense, he is a phenomenon and the new benchmark. His diving on the pitch and in the pool area is a thing of beauty and bewilderment. I doubt his diving feats will ever be surpassed. He is an artist and should be mentioned in the same breath as the greats: Michaelangelo, Mozart, Da Vinci, Beethoven, Paul Daniels and Rolf Harris".
Who could the world's best diver be? All is revealed in the following footage of the winning dive.

Dear Anon, thanks for your feedback. Toure is a great signing for us. With 7-yrs prem experience he's gonna hit the ground running. Lescott should be done and dusted soon. Would be good if we could sign Ribery too, then we'd have one ugly mean team!
